LITTLE ARIEL



This is rendering of the famed Ariel character from Disney’s The Little Mermaid.  It is the continuing series of dolls depicting each of the Disney Princesses and Tinkerbell.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn:  Buff, cherry red, lavender, real teal and aruba sea
Embroidery floss:  White, black, pink, red
D crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Tapestry needle

DOLL:
Make Little Farrah doll with red hair and eyebrows.

TAIL:
Rd 1: With real teal, ch 2, 5 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (5)
Rd 2: 2 sc in next 2 sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next 2 sc.  (9)
Rd 3: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (12)
Rd 4: sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 5: (sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (14)
Rd 6: (sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (16)
Rds 7-19: sc in each sc around.  (16)
Rd 20: sc in next 7 sc, slip st in next 2 sc, sc in next 7 sc.  (16)  Finish off.
Rd 21: Starting at second slip st, attach aruba sea with slip st, slip st in next sc, sc in next 12 sc, slip st in next 2 sts.  (16)
Finish off.


FINS (MAKE 2)
Rw 1: With real teal, ch 2, 2 sc in second ch from hook.  (2)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc.  (3)
Rw 3: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc.  (4)
Rw 4: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc.  (5)
Rws 5-6: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (5)
Rw 7: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc in next 3 sc.  (4)
Rw 8: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc in next 2 sc.  (3)
Rw 9: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc in next sc.  (2)
Rw 10: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog.  (1)
Finish off leaving a long tail to sew to TAIL.

SEASHELL BRA:
Rw 1: With lavender, ch 6, 2 sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (10)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (10)
Rw 3: Ch 1, turn; (sc2tog) 5 times.  (5)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

STRINGS:
Attach lavender at end of Row 2, ch 40.  Finish off.  Repeat on other end of SEASHELL BRA.

Use embroidery floss to embroider face on doll.
