TEZ

This is a doll based on a drawing sent to me by a customer of mine on Etsy.  This is doll has many pieces that are embroidered.  Use the picture of the doll that I made along with the drawing to embroider them on.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn:  Mushroom, charcoal, gray, gold, black, white, and red
E Crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Tapestry needle
1 black chenille stem
Glue

ARMS (MAKE 2):
RIGHT ARM:
Rd 1: With mushroom, 6 sc in magic ring, join with slip st in first sc changing to charcoal. (6)
Rd 2: Ch 1, (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around, join.  (8)
Rd 3: Ch 1, sc in each sc around, join.  (8)
Rd 4: Ch 1, sc in next 4 sc, change to mushroom, sc in next 4 sc, change to charcoal, join.  (8)
Rd 5: Ch 3 changing to mushroom in last ch, sc in second ch from hook, change to charcoal, sc in next ch, sc in next 5 sc, change to mushroom, sc in next 2 sc, change to charcoal, sc in next sc.  (10)
Rd 6: sc in free loops of ch-3, change to mushroom, sc in next ch, sc in next sc, change to charcoal, sc in next 6 sc, change to mushroom, sc in next 2 sc, change to charcoal, sc in next sc.  (12)

Finish off.  Use white to embroider accents on gloves.
LEFT ARM:

Finish off.
CUFF EDGING:  Attach red in LEFT SIDE OF CUFF starting at back edge, ch 1, sc in same sc as attachment, sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in side of next 2 rows, slip st in unworked sc of BOOTS between CUFFS, sc in side of next 2 rows of RIGHT SIDE OF CUFF, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc.  Finish off leaving a long tail to sew RED CUFF EDGING together after BOOTS are put on doll.
Place BOOT on foot and sew back seam closed.

EARS (MAKE 2)
Rw 1:   Ch 3, sc in second ch from hook and in next ch.  (2)
Finish off.  Sew to HEAD.

NOSE
Rw 1:   Ch 3, sc in second ch from hook and in next ch.  (2)
Rw 2:   Ch 1, turn; sc2tog.  (1)
Finish off.  Sew to FACE bunching Row 1 together.

EYES, EYEBROWS, AND MOUTH:
Embroider EYES, EYEBROWS, and MOUTH on face of DOLL.

GLASSES:
Use black chenille stem to make GLASSES.  Glue GLASSES in place.

HAIR:
Fringe white yarn as hair on DOLL.

NECKLACE MEDALLION:
Rw 1: With gold, ch 2, 2 sc in second ch from hook.  (2)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; (2 sc, slip st) in next sc, (slip st, ch 1, 2 sc) in next sc.  Change to white.
Rw 3: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog,sc2tog.  (2)
Rw 4: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, ch 4, slip st in top of sc2tog.
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

NECKLACE CHAIN:
With white, ch 30 loosely.  Finish off.  Weave NECKLACE CHAIN through ch-4.  Wrap around TEZ’s neck and tie off.

WAIST BELT:
Rw 1: With black, ch 32, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (31)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Embroider white belt buckle on WAIST BELT.  Wrap around waist of TEZ and sew ends of Rw 1 together.

THIGH BELT:
Rw 1: With black, ch 41, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (40)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (40)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Embroider white edges and spikes (using French knots) on THIGH BELT.
BELT BUCKLE:
Rd 1: Working around st #16 of THIGH BELT, attach white with slip st, sc in next 2 sc, sc 3 times while crossing BELT to other side of BELT, sc in same ch as last crossing sc, sc in next ch, slip st in next ch.
Finish off.  Weave in ends.
Wrap THIGH BELT around thighs and sew ends together.  Tack the THIGHT BELT to thighs to secure it.

DRAPPING BELT:
Rw 1: With black, ch 41, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (40)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (40)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Embroider white edges and spikes (using French knots) on DRAPPING BELT.  Sew one end of DRAPPING BELT to right hip of WAIST BELT and the other to the back of the WAIST BELT.  Weave in ends.

JACKET TOP:
Rw 1: With red, ch 35, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (34)

Rd 1: Attach red in 3rd sc of  bottom of ARMHOLE, ch 1, sc in same sc as attachment, sc in next 2 sc, change to black, sc 4 times in side of ARMHOLE, sc in each free loops of ch-5, sc 4 times in side of ARMHOLE, change to red, sc in next sc of bottom of ARMHOLE, slip st in first sc.
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

JACKET EMBROIDERY:
Use picture to embroider accents on JACKET.
