MIGHTYENA

This is the next in a very long list from a Pokemon-obsessed Etsy customer of mine.  I must admit that Mightyena is a personal favorite of mine as well.  Most of the pattern for Mightyena was easy to come up with because I have done Mightyena for this same customer back in November.  This pattern includes the color list for Mightyena and Shiny Mightyena.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn (Shiny alternative in parenthesis):  Gray (Buff), black (café latte—except INNER EARS), red (aqua), pale yellow and white.
E crochet hook
Polyester Fiberfil
Tapestry needle
Floral wire (optional)

BODY:
Rd 1: With gray, 9 sc in magic ring.  (9)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (18)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (27)
Rd 4: sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc, (sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 3 times.  (31)
Rd 5: sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc, (sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 4 times.  (36)

Rw 1: With black, ch 5, 2 sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 3 ch.  (5)

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew EARS to HEAD.

FOREHEAD HAIR:
Embroider FOREHEAD HAIR on HEAD of MIGHTYENA.

TAIL:
Rd 1: With black, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)
Rd 2: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (6)
Rd 3: sc in each sc around.  (6)
Rd 4: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (9)
Rds 5-7: sc in each sc around.  (9)
Rd 8: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (12)
Rds 9-10: sc in next 3 sc, (sc2tog) twice, sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next 2 sc.  (12)
Rds 11-16: sc in each sc around.  (12)
BEGIN STUFFING TAIL FIRMLY.  CONTINUE STUFFING FIRMLY AS YOU GO ALONG.

BODY FUR:
Fringe 9 inch pieces of black along each side of BODY starting at middle of NECK leaving a two-round gap between each row of FUR and a 3 sc gap between each side of FUR.  Separate the plies of the yarn and comb to give the yarn the appeal of FUR.

HEAD HAIR:
Starting at where you ended the FOREHEAD HAIR behind EARS, fringe 17 inch pieces of black.  Leave a 2 sc gap between each side of HEAD HAIR.  Style HEAD HAIR in mullet.
